This site was built to collect as little as possible. What follows is all of it.

What is stored

When a member signs in with GitHub, three things are kept:

• the GitHub account identifier
• a display name
• a profile image URL

Email addresses are neither requested nor stored. The OAuth request asks for no scope at all, so GitHub never hands one over.

Cookies

One cookie keeps a member signed in. It is signed, holds only the member identifier, and expires after 30 days.

Advertising

This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendorsuse cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites, which may include personalised advertising.

Personalised advertising can be turned off in Google Ads Settings, and across vendors at aboutads.info.

Whatever those vendors collect is not stored by this site and is never joined to a member account here.

Visit statistics

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify individuals.

Translation

To produce these English pages, each post's title, comment and body are translated with Cloudflare Workers AI. Translation runs once, when a post is created or edited. No visitor information is sent.

Retention and deletion

Account records are kept until a member asks to be removed. To request deletion, use the contact address.

What leaves this site

Preview images are loaded from the original publisher's address, so that publisher can see that someone loaded the image. Referrer information is suppressed to limit this.

This policy assumes a small, non-commercial hobby group. It needs revisiting if that changes.
